The question of Demand is sketchy, though, in that if you have 50 people who all want a copy, that seems like an awful lot on a message board, but it isn’t anywhere near enough to underwrite the production of a new printing.
To the ask, think of it this way. If a omnibus costs say $100 to make (hypothetically of course), and Marvel prints say, 1000 of said book, then they are spending $100 000. If say, only 50 people want said book, and the books sells at $150 a shot, then Marvel are no where near recovering the cost of their expenses, let alone making a profit. Supply and demand is a valid argument, but you have to think on a larger scale than what either of us will see online.
I would love to get the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby X-Men Omnibusses, but they are no longer in print, and I don’t think Marvel is going to reprint them anytime soon. The Masterworks however are still out there, as well as the Marvel App with Comixology. Omnibusses are great, but the sad fact is that they are costly to both the consumer and the publisher to produce.
